We are pleased to announce that John Scalia will be returning for the 2020 season as Head Coach of the Brampton Blazers Bantam Gold team. John’s team finished the 2019 season with a Bronze Medal at Provincials, and finished 3rd at the prestigious Memorial Day Madness tournament in Maryland and second at the “A” class 16U level in Toledo. John has been coaching for the last 10 years and has medalled in Nationals, winning Bronze in 2017. John is a non-parent coach, dedicated to the development of all players on his team.

This team will participate in Fall tournaments and will have an extensive schedule during the season that will include U.S. high profile Showcase events.

This is an open tryout and we are looking for strong players to augment our current portfolio of a standout 2004 class, this team is expected to compete strongly at the Tier 1 level with the ultimate goal of participating in nationals.

Brampton will have a second team in Bantam in 2020, coaches and level of play will be determined based on the talent profile available. Tryouts will be run jointly for both Gold and Burgundy teams

Tryout times are as follows

Monday September 2nd (Labour Day)

3 to 6 p.m. (Old fairgrounds) – First hour are pitchers and Catchers only, all other positional tryouts are from 4 – 6 p.m.

Tuesday September 3rd (Old Fairgrounds)

8:30 – 10:30

Wednesday September 4th (Old Fairgrounds)

8:30 – 10:30

As per all Brampton tryouts all positons remain available

*******Reminder tryouts for the Brampton Blazers 2020 Bantam Gold and Burgundy teams will begin on Monday at the Old Fairgrounds at 3 p.m. No pre-registration needed but please come around 1/2 early to register. Just to be clear we are looking for players born in either 2004 or 2005, the Bantam teams are not broken down by age group they are broken down by talent and need assessment.
